Public Involvement in Research - Helping researchers get it right!

Public Involvement in Research is different to volunteering to be a participant in a clinical trial or research study.  Involvement in research is about ways that patients and the public can help researchers design and deliver research so that people who want to participate in the research understand what the research is about and why it is being done.  The public voice is also very important to help researchers determine where research should be focused and we encourage all our researchers to involve patients and the public in their research.

Public Involvement in Research Opporunities

The opportunities to take part in research include but are not limited to: focus groups, answering questionnaires, meeting research teams, sitting on steering committees and advisory groups, reviewing participant information.  The commitment can range from a single session to the term of the research project. Can you help to improve our research?
